A Modern Refuge:

Being.
Becoming.
Belonging.

What is Groundless?

Groundless is many different things but with a certain point of view. It’s easier to feel than to categorize. We are headquartered in the Funk Zone in Santa Barbara, California. But, we’re not only a place.

What we do is create things. Community may be the most important thing we create. We do that through curating and hosting shared experiences like gatherings, workshops, classes, and meditations in-person and online. We function as a platform for art, music, writing, and creativity of all kinds.

What we aspire to be is a modern refuge — a cultural hub for the exploration of what it means to be fully alive, for learning and growing to our full potential, and for realizing that we all deeply and fundamentally belong together.

In other words, a refuge in the form of being, becoming, and belonging.
